Work, work, work

So, I feel like things are going well at this point.  We’re officially the proud new lessees of a lovely one-bedroom apartment.  We have begun painting the first of two walls of said apartment, and hope to wrap up painting in just a couple days.  Then, we’re going to do our best to move Phil in this weekend…assuming things go according to plan.

The invitations are in the addressing stage (a point which I never thought I’d reach!).  They were a lot of work, but they look fantastic (if I do say so myself).  I’m really proud of how well they turned out.  Shower thank yous are mostly done too, so I should be getting those out very soon.  We’re now working on little tags for the favors and other details.  Mom and I also got a little shopping done today which I’m pretty excited about too.

To be completely honest though, I’m exhausted tonight.  I’m ready to have a little less to do.  I’m ready for June 26th when I can just relax and enjoy the honeymoon.  The preparations are fun, but it’s a lot of work and stress.  I have to work really hard every day to focus on the marriage–the part that lasts for the rest of our lives–and not the wedding–the one-day event that kicks it all off.  I’m excited for both, but I really think I’m looking more forward to marriage.

So much more to do this week, but I’m looking forward to it because I’m calmer when I’m getting something accomplished.  I’m trying to take advantage of the free time as much as possible.  Here’s hoping I have some free time to take advantage of after the fact too!
