This semester has been by far one of the craziest of my college career…and I’m only taking one class! The challenges of being a wife and a student are far more difficult…I mean, when you live at home with mom and dad, life goes on around you if you have some major assignment. Mom gets upset that your room is buried, but dinner still gets made, laundry still gets done, and the house continues as normal. Not so when you’re the one who makes dinner, does the laundry, and maintains the house. No, no, friends…madness and chaos ensues. (And this isn’t to say that Phil does nothing…on the contrary, he’s wonderful and works harder than I do. But with both of us working on big papers…well, you get the picture.)
So, needless to say, the grand dreams I have of beautifully decorating your apartment for Christmas are at a standstill. I’ve done a little bit, but it’s going to be on the backburner for at least another week. I’ve got too much catching up to do. Luckily, Thanksgiving break has come just in time…and I’m definitely grateful.
Our weekend consists of three Thanksgiving meals and Phil’s birthday. I’m very excited to give him his birthday present, and then we’re going to see Harry Potter! I might be more excited about that…it’s tough to say.
When this weekend wraps up, it’ll be back to work on Monday. I’m dreading it already. But Christmas is just around the corner…the most wonderful time of the year…..
